PDC - Center for Parallel Computers

PDC - Center for Parallel Computers

The Center for Parallel Computers (PDC) operates leading-edge, high-performance computers as easily accessible national resources. Among the primary resources are large cluster computers for simulation and data analyses, large storage facilities where academic researchers can store large data collections.

Description

The Center for Parallel Computers (PDC) offers high-performance computers, mass storage and advanced support to Swedish research and education. We house several interesting systems. The primary resource today is the PC Cluster Lenngren with 442 dual Xeon processor nodes.

PDC Mass Storage Services provide the following features:

  • A large Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) system, providing users an easy-to-use data area with many Terabytes capacity.
  • Fast local scratch disk on all major system for temporary process-specific data.
  • Enhanced AFS capacity. Users benefit from enhanced performance, availability and storage capacity.

More information about our resources is found on our website.

PDC receives funding from Vetenskapsrådet - The Swedish Research Council and KTH.
