Electron Microscopy facility, Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten)
The electron microscopy facility at the Public Health Agency of Sweden (Folkhälsomyndigheten) has a long tradition in detection and visualization of viruses. The facility is used to identify human and animal viruses in clinical samples. The facility can perform sample preparation/staining and is also prepared to work with samples suspected or confirmed to contain infectious microorganisms.
The facility is equipped with a FEI Tecnai Spirit Biotwin TEM and a Philips CM100 TEM, both of which are fully digitilized for imaging.
